Rio is a gorgeous little gentleman looking for a calm and mature family to welcome him into their home.

Changes within his family have been quite overwhelming for young Rio and he has become anxious and a little snappy.  Rio could go to a home where there is already a friendly dog  as he currently lives with a female wire whom he adores. Equally, he could also go to a home where he would be the one and only pet in the home as long as there will be someone at home with him and he is not left alone for long periods. 

Rio is a ladies man and very much prefers to be in their company.  We are looking for a home where his new owners will be patient and willing to work with Rio to gain his trust.  Sadly Rio came to his owners as an older boy who was not desexed so we are unsure of how he was treated, where he lived and and how he behaved in that environment.

Rio loves his walks and is currently walked twice a day, except if it’s raining as he hates getting his paws wet! When out he behaves very well and mostly ignores other dogs and people. Rio is energetic, very playful and loves to run around.  He is a very sweet boy who loves his cuddles, tummy rubs and naturally enjoys his treats and bones.

Rio is crate trained but also likes to burrow under the blankets on the couch.

Rio is toilet trained but is a rather sensitive boy who prefers a particular place to go and can be quite shy if being watched so will often hold on until he is home 🙂

Rio is up to date with his vaccinations and desexed.
