Turbo is a young male dachshund looking for a new start in life.

This lovely little boy hasn’t had a great deal of socialisation and he is curently undergoing some sessions with a trainer to help show him that the world is not such a scary place.    Turbo’s reactivity to people and other strange dogs is fear based.    It appears he has felt the need to be an alpha dog and although he has lived with a female dog and was very protective of her, we think that he may be best being on his own where he doesnt feel the responsibility of having to protect another dachshund.

Turbo has had limited exposure to children,  young children may not be suited but older calm teenagers may be ok.

Turbo has been toilet trained, however he has had limited exposure to living inside so will require somebody to guide him whilst he is adjusting to a new environment.  He is super affectionate with those he knows and trusts and will hug your leg when wanting to be picked up.  He also loves to find the sunniest spot in the back yard and have a good sunbake.

Turbo may not ever be the type of dog you can take to a cafe or a dog park, but he is young, healthy and will no doubt bond closely with somebody who takes the time and energy into providing a new start for this little fella.
