Poor little Pepito has discovered that city living isnt really his thing……he has been living in an urban setting and he is yearning for a quiet house in the country where he can chill out on the verandah and  hopefully play with another nice natured dog.

Pepito will make a lovely little companion:

• Pepito is very clever and knows quite a few commands such as sit, wait, down, back and spin.  He is food orientated so would be content to learn other commands if a treat is involved. (favourite treats are bananas and carrots!)
• Once Pepito has warmed to you, he is super affectionate and will soon be scoping out the warmest lap to settle down on for tv time.  Pepito is a bit of a cold frog and loves wearing his coats and burrowing under the plush blankets.
• This little fella has lived with cats and understands and respects their boundaries.
• Pepito is toilet trained and will use a doggie door to go outside.
• A quiet home with no young children would suit Pepito best, he finds a busy family type household to be quite stressful and would best suit a quiet, calm house.
• Pepito isnt keen on being left home alone, although if he has another dog to keep him company he seems to settle quite nicely.

Pepito is not the type of dog that feels comfortable in a busy environment such as a dog park or a cafe although he does loves going for walk and his favourite place is a wide open lake walk with different tracks.  Pepito will need an experienced owner that can work with him when approaching other dogs, as he can be reactive and bark at other dogs.

Pepito would fit nicely into a rural type setting with another dog for company and humans that are home more often than not. He is not available for interstate adoption.  For further information email anna@dachshundrescue.com.au
