Ella: 3 years 7-month Red Smooth Miniature Dachshund

Introducing Miss Ella. This little charmer is an affectionate little girl. Especially to her family.

Ella loves her mini dachshund brother and also the family cat. She has a very sweet and gentle bond with them. Ella is somewhat ok on her own. The family pop her in her crate, as she tends to chew and it’s for her own safety.

Ella was terrorised by a neighbours 8-year-old, and now she is very frightened of children. The family keep her away for their toddler and the family is growing in size. Because of the stressful environment she is unsettled, and fear is she could nip. There has been warning signs. For these reasons Ella needs to go to a home where there are no little people.

Ella would benefit with quiet home life where she can relax knowing she isn’t on guard duty protecting her loved ones. She likes her daily walks for sniffing and peeing. Yes, she will bark if she doesn’t know the other dog or the other human. It’s her time to feel safe with a person/s that understands that transformation won’t happen overnight but with some perseverance and consistent routine she will start to relax.

Her family have visitors coming and going. With people she knows her barks soon dissipate and she settles quickly. If she doesn’t know the visitors, it takes much longer. Popping her on her lead will help deal with the initial high energy helpful.

Ella sleeps in her crate and is happy to go in there. A pit stop before her humans go to bed and she can sleep uninterrupted until first light in the morning. Huge plus. Ella loves her back yard and loves to sun bake and her time sniffing around the garden.

Ella is the sweetest dog and very loyal to her own humans. An absolute snuggle pot. Ella needs a child free home. Ella does not enjoy high traffic in the house.
