Meet Oli, in search of a forever home.

Dachshund Oli is seeking a loving home. Despite challenges,(Vision impaired)  Oli has proven resilience! Having undergone the removal of the left eye due to congenital abnormalities, he requires ongoing care for the right eye—daily drops and a biannual pressure check at the vet, to help maintain vision.

 Oli’s special needs make him a unique and rewarding addition to a caring home willing to provide the attention and love he deserves

Oli has been surrendered due to his vision impairment, he is compensating with listening and consequently developed ultra-sensitive hearing and anxiety. Oli is being treated for this and his reactive responses to noises.

Things that will be required for Oli

1)  A calm, quiet environment, away from the hustle and bustle of towns and the stress of children.

2)  A caring and understanding home, with patience, commitment, and time.

3) A secure garden with ample space (Oli is still young and playful and loves toys)

4) A vigilant watch on his right eye to maintain vision and nurturing nature to help overcome developed anxiety.

Oli is loving and sensitive, he appreciates being held for comfort and melts in your arms. Oli has shown sociability with other dachshunds through his time in foster care and a love of play and the outdoors, this little boy is also crate and toilet trained.

Oli deserves this chance to be loved for who he is, he has proven to be one of our most delicate and treasured little ones here at Dachshund Rescue.
