Rey is a gorgeous little girl who is looking for her new home.  She is a happy dachshund but recently it has become clear that she is missing her older dachshund brother who has been suffering from dementia.

She’s a social little girl who loves people but likes to say hello in her own time after she has a little bark.  She will allow people to pat her only after she has been given some time to get to know them.

Rey enjoys being with other friendly dachshunds so a home with another dog is a must.

Rey loves to be included in outings and enjoys going on walks whereby she walks very well on and off the lead.  Like most dachshunds she doesn’t like to get her paws wet when doing her business but absolutely loves playing at the beach where she will be more than happy to play in the water!

Rey is a clever girl and a quick learner.  She can sit, spin, beg and wait on command.  She loves to play fetch but doesn’t always give the ball back easily. Tug of war is also another of her favourite games.

Rey steals food and will take the opportunity to do so when she can.  She  has been known to raid rubbish bins and climb up onto the dinner table.  Dangerous foods and non pet friendly foods need to be kept out of her reach as she is very fast.

Rey would be best suited to a mature home as she has snapped at young children.

Rey is very affectionate and is very loving.  She likes to sleep in her own bed under her snuggly blanket.

Rey currently lives with cats without any issues.  She is toilet trained.
