Roll out the red carpet………please welcome this dapper gentleman, Harley.

Harley’s home circumstances have had a dramatic change after he lost his life long litter mate brother. His owner is heartbroken, Harley is heartbroken and has become so clingy that he can’t handle being alone.  However, as long as he has either a human or another dog for company he is calm and content.

One of Harley’s positive attributes is his ability to show love to all, including children and adults. He has been raised with children and as long as they are calm and gentle he loves being included in their play.   There’s something deeply heartwarming about watching Harley interact with everyone he meets, expressing his love with a wag of his tail and a sweet, attentive demeanour. Harley is truly adored by all those who cross his path.

For those who enjoy leisurely walks, Harley is an absolute dream!  He walks nicely on a lead and will make walks a pleasure rather than a chore.  He is calm and polite when walking past other dogs, occasionally wanting to stop for a sniff.  Harley is happy to go for a stroll 3 or 4 times a week, and even better if you include a cafe stop for a puppacino!  Harley is used to going for drives and will happily accompany you for a Sunday drive or to run an errand.

Harley adores his toys and sees them as friends, not an enemy to be destroyed!  He loves his hedgehog in particular and when it’s dinner time he carries hedgehog and pops him under his food bowl to ensure he doesn’t miss out too.  Harley’s favourite foods include sardines, milky sticks and chicken wing tips.

Harley is a beautiful, wise old soul that would love to spend his retirement years in a home where MUST have either doggie or human company.  He is desexed, vaccinated and in general good health. For further information please email anna@dachshundrescue.com.au
