Meet Fleur – A Big Personality in a Little Package!

Fleur is a delightful senior dachshund with a zest for life and a personality as big as her heart. Though she may be small, this spirited lady knows how to make her presence known, whether it’s alerting you to visitors at the door, greeting the postman, or simply reminding you she’s there with her playful, chatty nature.

Fleur loves chasing butterflies in the garden and even has a playful streak for bush turkeys! She loves a swim and playing with sprayed water or a hosepipe. She’s obsessed with squeaky toys, balls, and doing her happy dance (complete with spins!) when treats or dinner are on the way.

Fleur is a snuggle expert who bonds quickly. She adores cuddles, loves being the center of attention, and isn’t shy about giving kisses—she’s very “licky”!

This submissive sweetheart often rolls onto her back and thrives with calm, confident handling. Slow, deliberate hand movements are important when first getting to know her, and she appreciates patient introductions, especially with men.

Fleur’s little noises of joy will melt your heart. She’s particularly chatty when food is involved and has a knack for knowing when raw carrots are being chopped—she’ll come running for her favorite treat!

Fleur loves her crate for quiet time and sleeps there overnight. She’s getting the hang of toilet training and often goes to the back door to let you know she needs to go out.

Fleur is looking for a loving home with someone who can offer her plenty of attention, cuddles, and a steady routine. She’d do best with an experienced, confident owner who understands her submissive nature and can offer her the gentle handling she needs. While she may be wary of men at first, a little patience and love will help her warm up.

No other dogs, her social and sharing skills aren’t the greatest. Loud noises scare her, shouting .. but is showing signs of improvement. Older children ok.
