Winnie is a sweet and affectionate 10-year-old Dachshund who is looking for a calm and caring home to spend her golden years. She adores human company and would love someone who is home most of the time to keep her close and share in her gentle companionship.

Winnie has previously lived with children, but due to back issues, she’s best suited to a home without young kids. Older, respectful children would be fine. She’s happiest in a peaceful environment where she can relax and enjoy cuddles on the couch or by your side.

While staying with a family friend, Winnie had a dog companion and did beautifully with that arrangement. She’d likely enjoy having another calm dog in the home, especially one who can help show her the ropes—like where to go for toilet breaks and how to share the yard nicely.
