Bentley 7 years and 1-month red smooth standard Dachshund

Lovable dependable protective Bentley. He might be a Dachshund, but he has the heart and courage of a Lion.

Bentley needs an experienced Dachshund owner that knows his well-known characteristics but also set some doggo boundaries. He is depending on you to lead him. At first, he will be reserved and watch the new home enviroment when he feels comfortable his personality will come to the front. He can easily persuade you to get his way. But he actually needs you to be the leader. so, he can relax and be a family much loved pet.

He is ok on lead and loves his daily walks for exercise, socialising and sniff fest. He is ok with older children but would much prefer a home without. He is good with other Dachshunds we are sure he would love the company of a calm female friend. Currently living with a cat and another Dachshund.

Like all new meetings it will take slow small interactions to establish confidence. He sleeps at night in his crate. His little comfy man cave.

Bentley is in Foster care. They have given him structure and a routine he has become dependent on. He is still learning new behaviours.

In a home with not too many comings and goings Bentley would make a wonderful companion.
