On the off chance I came across Dachshund Rescue Australia while scrolling through Facebook. I had dog sat my daughter's dachshund and now that I was retired felt the need for another dog. Well didn't I win the lottery. Winston came into my life. Winston was a 7 year old loveable fellow that was very well trained. We have become inseparable now. He loves that he can run around in the garden while I'm out gardening or snoozing by the fire when I'm sewing late at night. He is a great traveler as we visit my old father once every two weeks and my dad loves seeing him. It was a big decision to get him but I've been so happy that Winston has entered my life. Even my kids tell me it was a perfect match. Dashhound rescue was great answering all my questions and organised his vet work. I highly recommend the experience of adopting a Dachshund from them.
