Meet Jerry – A Loyal Little Dachshund Looking for His Perfect Match 🐾❤️

Jerry is a gorgeous little Dachshund with a loving nature and a big personality. Like many Dachshunds, he forms strong bonds with his people and thrives in a home where he is treated as part of the family.

Jerry would be happiest in a home where someone is around for much of the day, as he doesn’t enjoy being left alone for long periods. He loves nothing more than curling up beside his favourite humans on the couch and, if allowed, snuggling up in bed at night. If you’re looking for a devoted little shadow, Jerry will happily fill that role.

Jerry currently lives with two adults and a cat and has settled well into that environment. He can be wary of unfamiliar people entering the home, such as tradespeople or visitors, so he’ll need owners who understand this behaviour and can manage introductions calmly and confidently.

Like many Dachshunds, Jerry has a playful side. His favourite toys are squeaky toys—but fair warning, his mission is usually to locate the squeaker and expertly remove it before proudly destroying the rest of the toy! His antics are guaranteed to bring plenty of laughs.

Jerry walks reasonably well on lead but would benefit from continued training and consistency to help build his confidence and manners. He is an intelligent little dog who will thrive with gentle guidance, clear boundaries and positive reinforcement.
