Opie is a gorgeous Mini Smooth Black & Tan Dachshund, born 1 September 2021, and he’s ready to find a family who will show him just how wonderful life can be. ❤️

🏡 From kennel life to couch life!

Before coming into foster care, Opie lived outdoors and slept in a kennel. Since arriving in foster, he has discovered the joys of being inside with his people — and he’s loving every minute of it!

Opie has happily lived with four children and is friendly with people. He can be a little timid when meeting unfamiliar dogs, but he does enjoy the company of other Dachshunds.

Opie is an easy-going, affectionate boy who simply enjoys being around his people. Whether that means snoozing on the couch, following you around the house or heading off for a weekend adventure, he’s just happy to be included.

After spending so much of his life outdoors, Opie deserves to experience everything a loving family has to offer — a warm bed, a comfy couch, plenty of cuddles and a family who considers him part of the family. 🥰
