Meet Dexter – A Loyal Companion Looking for an experienced owner.  🏡 

Dexter is a loving and affectionate Dachshund with a big heart and a strong bond to his people. He enjoys spending time with his owner, loves attention, and is happiest when included as part of the family. Dexter is eager to please and forms deep connections with those he trusts.

Like many Dachshunds, Dexter has a few behavioural challenges that will require understanding and commitment from his new owner. He can display some reactivity towards other dogs and has shown resource guarding behaviours. Because of this, Dexter is looking for an experienced home with someone who understands canine behaviour and is familiar with the typical traits and temperament of the Dachshund breed. Dexter will need to be the ONLY PET. 

Dexter will thrive with an owner who is willing to continue working with him using positive, consistent training and management strategies. In the right environment, with patience and guidance, he has the potential to flourish and become an incredibly rewarding companion.
