Frankie ACT

Frankie is a beautiful longhaired dachshund currently in the ACT, and like many dogs of his generation, his story is one we’re seeing more and more often.

Born into the quiet world of lockdowns, Frankie grew up knowing a slower pace of life, no strangers visiting and lots of “me time.”

The world he now finds himself in with busy households, home renovations and the energy of young children has  become too overwhelming and his ability to cope is very low.

At 7 years old, Frankie isn’t a difficult dog, he’s a product of his time and quite typical of his generation.

Frankie can be cute, funny, great company and of course knows he is absolutely gorgeous, this little man will shine!! we just need the right environment.

Frankie would  thrive in a stable home where life follows a predictable routine.  A home where he can feel secure and build confidence at his own pace. With time, patience, and understanding, Frankie has so much love to give.

Frank  would be best suited to a seasoned dachshund owner who understands the breed and can support him through his anxiety. A quieter household without hustle and bustle  would help Frankie feel at ease and less reactive and hyper vigilant.

Having lived with a Snr Yorkie his whole life Frankie  would also love a calm canine companion to help guide him and provide reassurance but this is not essential.

Frankie is Toilet trained, crate trained (for bed), enjoys the feeling of security. Frankie will bloom with the right adopter who knows how to get the best out of him.
