Freya is a gentle, loving dachshund who simply adores being around her people. Whether she’s curled up beside you on the sofa, snuggled up in bed at night, or accompanying you on a leisurely walk, Freya is happiest when she’s close to those she loves. She also enjoys car rides and would be delighted to join her family on outings and adventures.

Like many sensitive souls, Freya can experience separation anxiety. She has received training to help build her confidence and currently takes a daily tablet, which has made a noticeable difference. We’ve also found that she is much more relaxed when left with another calm, friendly dachshund rather than being completely on her own, making a quiet canine companion a real bonus for her. When left completely alone she tends to bark a lot.

Freya sleeps a lot these days, as any self-respecting senior lady should, but she still enjoys getting out for walks and exploring the world at her own pace. In true dachshund fashion, she would very much prefer a bed that includes her humans and plenty of opportunities for cuddles.

Freya is looking for a quiet household with no young children, and she would thrive in a home where someone is around for much of the day and like to take her out with them. In return, she’ll offer endless affection, loyal companionship, and all the love that only a sweet senior dog can give.
