Gretel is a beautiful 4½-year-old Dachshund with a gentle heart and a loving nature. She is searching for a home where she can feel secure, loved, and truly part of the family.

Gretel would be happiest in a home with no small children.  She is good with older children who can give her the gentle attention she deserves. She enjoys the company of another dog, but would also be content as the only pup, provided her humans are home often and include her in their daily lives.

This little lady loves spending time indoors, snuggling up with her people, but she also enjoys finding a sunny spot to stretch out and snooze the day away. At night, she happily sleeps in her crate.

Gretel does experience some separation anxiety, so she is looking for a family who can give her the reassurance of being close by and involved in family activities. With love, patience, and inclusion, Gretel will thrive as a devoted and affectionate companion.
