Hansel & Gretel – A Special Senior Pair Searching for Their Forever Home 🏡❤️

Hansel and Gretel share a bond that has carried them through some tough times, and it’s clear they are happiest when together. Now safe in foster care, they’re back to enjoying life and embracing each day with love and joy.

They are currently living with several other dachshunds and have blended in beautifully. Both are easy-going, content to follow their foster siblings’ lead, and delighted to be part of the daily routine.

These two are brimming with love and thrive on being close to their humans. Their favorite moments are spent by your side—watching, supervising, and of course, sneaking in cuddles and kisses whenever they can.

✨ About Gretel: At 12 years young, Gretel is full of energy and zest for life. She’s agile, playful, and enjoys joining in with the younger dachshunds in her foster home. She still has plenty of living—and loving—to do.

✨ About Hansel: At over 15, Hansel is the wise old gentleman of the pair. He has several health conditions that bring him closer to the rainbow bridge 🌈, but he’s not ready to leave just yet. With soulful eyes and the softest of natures, he asks only for love and comfort in his twilight years.

At night, Hansel and Gretel happily curl up together in their crate, snuggled side by side. They would do best in a home where someone is around most of the time, so Hansel can soak up the love he deserves and Gretel can continue to enjoy companionship.

They could easily adapt to a home with another resident dachshund or two, which would also give Gretel the ongoing company she adores when the time eventually comes.
