Maria is a beautiful dachshund with the sweetest nature…

Maria is a calm, social dachshund that will make a beautiful companion for someone who can appreciate an old soul demeanor.  Maria has a lot of love to give….she is a snuggler.  She has amazing manners and is so calm that she visits a nursing home where all the residents love to give Maria a nice cuddle.  Maria visits a dog park regularly and is confidant enough to approach other dogs to entice them to play with her.

When not snuggling, Maria will try to hypnotise you with her brown eyes and convince you to give her a treat.  Maria is carrying a little bit of extra ‘snuggle bits’, so a regular walking routine and will power to resist her magnetic gaze for treats would be helpful for her to keep trim. This won’t be a problem as Maria loves her outings and is a pleasure to take her just about anywhere.

High on Maria’s wishlist is a backyard with lots of little bushes that she can poke around in and sunny nooks where she can stretch out and have a snooze in the morning sun.

Maria isnt too happy about being left on her own so an owner that is home more often than not would be best suited.  Currently, her owner gives her a pigs ear if going out and as she is so food orientated she is perfectly content chewing away on that.

Maria has been around children, however we feel that a home with older children/teenagers would best be suited for Maria.
