Gorgeous little Millie with her permanent head tilt is now happily settled into her new home. Her new family have always preferred to adopt their pets in the past including a mini foxie called Herbie and two wire haired dachshunds Fizz from Sydney pound and Max who came from DRA at 11 years of age. It was after Herbie's passing a few years ago that they felt they should add to their family once again. Their current rescue 12 year old Mabel who has sadly lost both her eyes prior to her adoption from a terrible mouth infection was showing signs of needing a new friend. Millie and Mabel have worked out the system of who sleeps on top of the blankets and who goes under them on the human bed. Sometimes Millie will give a little grumble if Mabel jumps up to where she is lying on the couch but all in all the girls sort it out between themselves and are often found snuggling next to each other. Millie likes to play fetch but hasn't quite worked out how to bring the balls back, she also loves playing with her toys and is learning to use the doggie door.
