Meet Paxton – 16 Months Old

Paxton is a handsome young Dachshund with a big personality, looking for the right forever home to help him grow into the confident little dog he’s meant to be. At just 16 months old, Paxton has already shown he is loving, clever and spirited, but he needs a patient, experienced Dachshund owner to help guide him.

Paxton would thrive as the only pet in the household. He is not suited to living with young children, cats, or other dogs, as he prefers having his people all to himself. He has experienced some anxiety in his young life, so he will need someone calm and understanding who can give him time to settle and show him that the world is a safe place.

This boy will benefit from a home where someone is around most of the time, as he truly loves companionship. With the right guidance, patience, and consistent training, Paxton has the potential to blossom into a loyal, loving little companion.

While walks are something he’s still learning to enjoy, Paxton does love a yard where he can play and explore at his own pace. In the right home, with training, time and reassurance, he will come to appreciate outings and the joy of life beyond the backyard.
