Sally is a petite bundle of devotion with a beautiful, soft red coat, looking for a peaceful forever home.

Sensitive and soulful, Sally thrives in a calm environment and finds fast movements and loud children a bit overwhelming. She’s looking for a special someone who’s home most of the time—a gentle, understanding human who’ll give her the space and time she needs to truly shine.

Sally prefers to be your one and only: no other pets or children, please. While she has previously lived with a spaniel and tolerated the resident cat, Sally is a typical dachshund (wary of new dogs and slow to warm up to strangers), But once she trusts you, she will be utterly devoted and never far from your side.

Sally is crate-trained and sleeps soundly through the night, she’s making great progress with her obedience, Sally knows commands like “sit,” “stay,” “come,” “in the car,” “on your bed,” “inside,” and the ever-important “time to go wee wees.”

Toilet training is still a work in progress, particularly if it’s raining or windy—she’s a bit of a diva when it comes to the weather!

When she’s relaxed, Sally loves nothing more than a patch of sunshine in the garden or curling up quietly by your side. She may be timid at first, but give her patience and love, and she’ll reward you with loyalty beyond measure.
