Meet Shorty 🐾

Hi there! My name is Shorty, and I’m a standard chocolate dapple Dachshund.

I was born on 20th December 2024, but don’t even think you can combine my birthday and Christmas into one present. I expect two gifts every year, thank you very much. And while we’re on the subject, I also require toys, treats, and enrichment for every other special occasion… you know, January, February, March, April… you get the idea. Basically, I fully expect to be spoiled!

I’ve been living with a little human and another medium-sized dog, but I think I’d really prefer a home with older humans. If you work from home or are around most of the time, that’s even better because I absolutely love attention. My ideal day includes lots of walks, adventures, sniffing new places, cuddles, and, of course… treats.

Now, let’s talk sleeping arrangements. You may think you’re buying a bed for yourself, but really, it’s for us. I fully expect to claim at least one-third of it, preferably while burrowed under the blankets. I might choose to sleep in one of those things humans call a dog bed every now and then—but let’s be clear, that’s my decision, not yours.

I’m quite the chatterbox on walks. I’m not being grumpy—I just like to announce to all the other dogs that Shorty has arrived and the path is officially under my supervision.

The good news? I’m already toilet trained and know that wees and poos belong outside. The bad news? I have absolutely no intention of picking up after myself—that’s definitely part of your job description.

In return for all your love, adventures, treats, and spoiling, I’ll reward you with endless cuddles, unwavering loyalty, and plenty of laughs. You’ll have my full attention… unless a leaf dares to move across the lawn. In that case, I have important Dachshund business to attend to.
