Sprout has just turned four and is ready to begin her next chapter with a loving family of her own. This beautiful little Dachshund may have short legs, but she has plenty of personality. ❤️

Sprout grew up on a farm and is used to outdoor living and the company of other dogs. Because country life has been her comfort zone, unfamiliar dogs, busy surroundings and walking on a lead are still new to her—city slicker training may take a little time.

Like any self-respecting miniature Dachshund, Sprout has opinions—and she is not afraid to share them. She also has plenty of love for her humans and enjoys being part of everyday family life. ❤️ She has always lived with children and is comfortable in a family home. However, she is not suited to living with small animals: rabbits, chickens and ducks tend to bring out her inner farmyard detective.

Sprout needs a loving, patient family who will give her time to settle in and learn. With gentle guidance, positive reinforcement and plenty of reassurance, she can build confidence and explore the wider world at her own pace—preferably with snacks involved.

If you’re looking for a gentle, affectionate girl who wants to be loved, included and encouraged, Sprout could be your perfect little sidekick. She may be low to the ground, but she has very high hopes for her new home. 🐾❤️
