Bodi has found his home with 2 other dachshund girls, Mabel and Penny, who have welcomed him into their home. From day 1 Bodi walked into the house and decided he was going to be staying there, but first of all he had to bring one of the dachshund girls around to approving of him staying. Once that was gained, Bodi pretty much knew he wouldn't be sent off anywhere else. However, there is still one challenge for Bodi to resolve, and that's the big scary Great Dane, who is also a member of the home. Thus far, Bodi has barked at him from the safety of the sofa, and has now progressed to waiting for Titan to get back on his bed, and he's now barking at him from a safe distance on the floor and with his tail wagging. Both Mabel and Penny are quite happy with Titan and being close to him, so it's a matter of a little more time, before he closes the distances between them! VIC

With family life becoming busier and commitments outside of the home, Luna was becoming anxious and unhappy being left alone. She is now with a new dachshund brother Hank (also DRA rescue) and in a home where someone is with her most of the day. Hank has been the most beautiful gentleman and welcomed Luna from day one showing her how to use the doggie door and enjoying her company when out on their walks. Little Bear has had a major turn around in his life and is now living a life where he has people home nearly all the time (music to most dachshunds ears!) and he has a big brother Shiloh to show him that life is pretty good. Bear is loving living across the road from a park, and spends most days sniffing and stretching his legs in what he probably believes is an extension of his own personal backyard. His new owners have engaged a dachshund savvy trainer to help with his barking and we have been told he is so clever that it has already reduced significantly...way to go Bear!

Meeko is a gorgeous little boy who through no fault of his own was suffering from extreme separation anxiety after the lockdown restrictions were lifted. Life for Meeko has dramatically changed for the better and he is now off all his medications. Meeko enjoys daily walks to the beach with his new 12 year old staffy sibling who has been a calming influence on him. Meeko also loves to spend time at work with his dad and is especially helpful welcoming customers into the shop. We wish you the best life Meeko!

Winston is a loving and loyal dachshund who became disgruntled by the arrival of an infant into his home. Unwisely, Winston expressed his dissatisfaction by snapping at the newborn baby and subsequently found himself needing a new home. Fortunately Winston has been welcomed with open arms in his new home. We are extremely grateful for people adopting these dear dachshunds.

Loving best buddies Jason and Hendrix have found a wonderful welcoming home.The former owners were busy with work and the demands of a young family. They wanted these young dachshunds to have daily enrichment. They settled into there new home without a fuss, having each other for comfort. We are very appreciative for welcoming homes for dachshunds in need. Jason and Hendrix have a bright outlook in there new home. We look forward to seeing them flourish.

Ziggy has found himself in a beautiful home. Endless cuddles and prize position on one his owners lap. He still loves catching flies and you can always find him sunbaking in the backyard on a sunny day.

Mojo, as his name suggests, is a dachshund with great charm and personal magnetism. Therefore it was no surprise that just a few days into the adoption trial, his new parents announced “Mojo is not going anywhere. He’s staying with us.” Mojo’s magic had worked! Every day Mojo becomes more confident in his new home. His anxiety is diminishing and the relationship with canine buddy Bonnie is steadily building. The companionship Mojo craved is ever present and there is always a comfortable lap upon which to snuggle. Happy days ahead for all.
