Rusty was rescued from a breeder by a lady who found that she couldn't give him the affection, and attention he craved. He desired companionship and the experience of shared adventures, be it a walk in the park or a cozy movie night at home. He has found his perfect home with his new owner who tells us that Rusty is a big sweet heart. He loves going for walks and cuddling on the couch. They are so glad that they adopted an older dog and have been given the opportunity to spoil him in this stage of his life.

Ms Wheenie now known as Queenie came to us with severe separation anxiety, needing almost constant companionship. After a false start, she was rescued by Kylie who came to pick her up armed with towels to combat her car sickness. She has settled into her new family home now where she is being given the close companionship she craves from her Mum, and doggy companions Winston and Jez.

Rolly found herself in need of a home where her abundant energy could have some company, while still having lots of snuggle & sun time. Bek & JJ were looking for some company to help Wombat (2), who after recently losing his older brother was lonely... and the opportunity to adopt Rolly really looked like a great fit. Following a trip up to Sydney for a first meetup, both Rolly & Wombat were playing, wrestling, chasing and having a wonderful time from the moment they met. Moving from an apartment to a house has had a few obstacles to challenge Rolly, and while ramps, doggy doors & a backyard are new adventures – she has relished the challenges with her new friend and mentor. Walks around the local oval have also taken some time to adjust to, but now that is a highlight of the day and approached with relentless energy. Both Rolly & Wombat are loving their time together and finally having someone to run around the house chasing, wrestling, playing tug-of-war, before being able to relax on the deck & in the sunroom to soak up some rays. By the end of the day, they’re both ready to collapse on the couch in the evening for some lovely snuggles. It’s been a wonderful fresh start for Rolly, and just the company Wombat needed too. It’s been a great outcome and the whole family are loving having her in their pack. Bek, JJ and family are thankful to the previous owner for the wonderful support and opportunity to adopt Rolly and make sure she was settled in just fine.

My successfully re-homed story is coming very soon

Rio and Millie have settled in nicely into their new home and have been welcome company for their new sister Snowie who had lost her previous doggy pals to old age. Millie and Snowie are enjoying their new found sisterhood, and Rio sits back chill as watching whats going on. They have all commandeered the favourite lounge chair and are enjoying snuggling up inside. Wayne is besotted with Millie and Rio, and says they have such beautiful natures and are well behaved, happily trotting in and out of the house when they need to. Thanks to Wayne, Millie and Rio can stay together and live rest of their lives together.

Jock, the charming dachshund, has found his forever home and left the city life behind. Now a country dog, Jock revels in the wide-open spaces and fresh air. His new family showers him with love, and he enjoys endless hours of fun in the sun, exploring fields and chasing butterflies. Jock’s days are filled with joy and excitement, especially during frequent visits to the beach. There, he frolics in the sand and splashes in the waves, his tail wagging with pure happiness. Jock's transformation from a city pup to a contented country dog is heartwarming. His story is a testament to the power of love and the joy of finding a place to call home.

Spencer is loving his new home. His new owners tell us that Spencer is thriving in his new rural home, bringing us immense joy and happiness. He enjoys early morning walks among cattle, sheep, and kangaroos. He has inherited a keen sense of smell and, upon his arrival, alerted us to insect activity in our house walls, this led us to promptly contact pest control services. We are thrilled to have him in our lives. He is a delightful little dachshund with impeccable manners, thanks to the excellent training from his previous owners. A big thank you to Dachshund Rescue Australia for giving us the opportunity to welcome this wonderful dog into our home.
