A day later and she is much better, still quiet but good appetite etc. I think it is safe to say that with our two week test over, we would be more than happy to keep our Rosie. thanks Raelene for all your efforts on everyone's behalf - most appreciated.
She is in peak condition - especially now we have put a kilo on her. Unfortunately, the vet is concerned about her mental wellbeing. The vet is advocating for some stress related medication for Rosie. She is very reactive to other dogs etc and has terrible separation anxiety to the point she pees when she sees us.
None of this surprises us, just makes us rather sad/angry. We will be going down this route. Regrettably the $1320 we spent on her training was pointless as the vet pointed out, Rosie needs to be in a better mind set before she can consider training.
Whilst this sounds bleak, I don't wish it to be. Rosie has been the most delightful addition to our little group. When she's not fearful or reacting, she is a happy girl. We play tuggie and chasey for about 23.5 hours a day! She sleeps curled up on our bed and adores both Arthur (my husband) and I.
Once we get on top of the mental health issues, I know we will have our Rosie for the duration - and for that I thank you and the other members wholeheartedly.
Mischa – 4½ Years Old – Bunbury WA
What can I say that will let you know Mischa is the quirkiest little long dog ever.
She rules the family like a little dictator, she demands rather than asks and she talks non stop..
But we wouldn't have it any other way.
She sleeps on yhusbands pillow, tucked up in the bed.
She doesn't recognised recall in any form but could win the Melbourne Cup if there was a treat at the finish line.
