My successfully re-homed story is coming very soon

Pot has Basil and senior Chilli to help settle into her new home. It took a little time as first to get used to the family routine, but all things are moving positively. Pot confidence is growing by the day. Pot and Basil are playing lots and now that gives Chilli and well earn rest she needs. They are enjoying daily walks and meeting new people on their walks. The doggie door was challenging especially in winter. But she is mastering that with a treat on the other side. Another beautiful home that has opened their home and hearts to a rescue. thank you so Julie.

Nugget is living his best life in sunny Palm Beach with his rescue dachshund brother Snoopy. Taking a little while to settle in, but with his new owners already adopting a dachshund from us, they had plenty of experience settling in a new doggie. We have since caught up at Dachshund Rescues Hound Huddle in St Ives and all looked very happy 🙂

King Richard was much loved by his original owners, but farming life wasn't for him. When he has popped on the website we received many applications. Unfortunately, only one Richard. We disappointed a few outstanding forms. Richard successful adopter had experienced pet grief losing their beloved Baxter. The owners didn't know if they could love another as much. I can report yes, they can. Richard has weaseled his way into their hearts. This family is active and everywhere they go Richard goes with them. He is pampered and adored. We are so happy for them. Somehow, I think Baxter sent Richard to them. Life is so much better with a Dachshund in it.

Lola & Sebastian are going well. We have had so much rain here, everything is so wet and has upset the toilet training somewhat but they are slowly getting used to their patch of lawn beside the patio. When we first got them Lola weighed 10kg and Seb 8kg. On the visit to the vet, Lola came in at 9kg and Seb 7kg. On Lola’s visit last week she was 8.6kg and looks even slimmer today, while Seb has also looked slimmer. To date our daily walks when possible they have notched up 70kms but if we are able to get onto Bennetts Beach at low tide, Seb will chase the ball until I am exhausted, not him, and his usual effort is to destroy the ball. I might add Bennetts Beach is 52 kms long and not a house to be seen, as 4kms up the beach it turns into a National Park. Their breakfast during the week consists of 6 slices of banana, 8 blueberries, 60 gms of oatmeal with just a little milk and they love it. A special treat after their dinner at night consists of thin slices of carrot and their chomping sound on the carrot is entertaining to us, as well as cleaning their teeth. As I have explained their meals are home cooked beef or chicken with lots of veggies and rice varied with tuna, sardines or even a pouch with varied meats and veggies. These meals are weighed out to a limit of 100gms and to this is added 50 gms of biscuits. Regards to you and your team for the work you are doing in enriching our lives with family like Lola and Sebby. Dachshund Rescue are very happy with this little family.

Winnie has found a beautiful new home. She is enjoying being a part of the family activities. She has attached herself to the female human and is getting so much attention. Winnie has a fur sister, and Coco has been a great influence on her. Winnie has plenty of back yard to run around in and of course plenty of sunshine to chase and bake in. Dachshund Rescue are thrilled for Winnie and her new family.

Miss Daisy has settled in nicely with her new home and dachshund sister Miss Poppy. They love going on vacations with their mum and dad to special places like Millthorpe and Orange and absolutely love playing in the parks.
