Tillie was adopted by an experienced Dachshund owner. She has an existing older male Dachshund. At first Moris didn't know what to make of this little pocket rocket. But slowly slowly with no forced interaction and allowing Tillie to find her feet on her own timeline has reaped the rewards. Tillie lived her life outside so it was expected that a few accidents may happen. But can report she has taken really well with the doggie door. She has her new brother to show her the ropes, and we are convinced this is what helped her. Tillie and Dachshund Rescue are very lucky to have fount Pauline because she is the perfect fit. thank you

Hi my name is Benji I have found my pack! My new human family have provided me with love, patience and lots of cuddles. My fear is fading, replaced with a sense of security and belonging. My days are filled basking in the sun, enjoying yummy home cooked food, playing with endless toys alongside my new best buddy's Daisy and Flo. I love taking walks in new environments, my nose held high with how happy I am. A big thank you to DRA and my doggie foster mum for loving me until I found my forever home.

✨✨Dobby now named (Piccolo) Adopting Piccolo was the best thing we could have done -he is the cutest little sausage. He’s a little pocket rocket and is the happiest sausage we know. He loves his new life with his brother Pinot ( also adopted from dachshund rescue). They are like two peas in pod. They spent their days playing together and napping in the sun. Adopting Piccolo has brought our family so much joy and love. We couldn’t imagine a life without him now.

Look at this beautiful boy, SPENCER has been part of our family for 4 months, and he is certainly a special dog. We are so lucky to have this enthusiastic dachshund in our lives. Fergus has welcomed him with open paws, and he is sharing his favourite haunts with his new friend. They enjoy daily walks along Lake Bonney, on the golf course, or in the bush sniffing down rabbit burrows. We are pleased to report that Spencer is an absolute winner with his family and the Barmera community he now lives in. Thank you, Dachshund Rescue Australia and a special thank you, to his foster Mum Annie, who loved and cared for him. Spencer has found his forever home. He is a real champion, and we are the winners.xx

Buddy has been a delight, his new family told us. He has settled in almost immediately. He no longer sleeps in a crate he has negotiated his way in bed with his owners. Buddy is enjoying his daily walks and loves when the extended family visit. More people to get cuddles from.

Zali went through DRA's foster program, as her situation needed a fast exit plan. We called Kelly & Trevor one of our trusted foster carers. Again, they worked wonders in the short period of time. Teaching her some basic manners and getting her ready for her forever home. Kelly tells me this cheeky minx nearly captivated Trevor's heart. This time in foster gave us the ability to search for the right family. Zali now has a brother Norman, and the Lisa & Dave says the foundations of a loving companionship are already off to a good start.
