Sweet little Buddy has been adopted into his forever home where he is living the life that every dog should. He now has a new dachie brother Archie that he plays with and he is now included on family outings to the beach where he gets to paddle out in the shallows. He cant believe how lucky he is, he has so much energy and he know has a grassed back yard to be able to run and do zoomies in. Winston the dachshund has found his perfect place in the world! After leaving his cozy seaside home, he’s now thriving in a sprawling country haven. His new family adores him, showering him with endless affection and attention. Each day is a new adventure for Winston as he roams freely across the acreage, his spirit as boundless as the fields he explores. From chasing butterflies to snuggling up in warm laps, Winston’s heart is as full as his days are joyful. This sweet pup has truly found his forever home, where love and freedom meet in perfect harmony.

Mochi has a lovely story that we are keen to share with you. He was surrendered to us because his owners, with a young family, were struggling to find the time for Mochi. When we received Johns application and spoke to him on the phone, we couldn't help but get a little excited that Mochi might just be his perfect match. John is retired and lives a calm quiet life, and was looking for a new little buddy to share his days with. Visits to other family members for get togethers, zoomies around the house chasing the ball and of course snuggling up with John on the couch are all a daily part of Mochis new life. Thank you John for choosing to adopt a rescue dachshund!

We think Hubert is all settled in now. I think Hubert is bonded to our son the most but we all love him. He enjoys hanging out with his cousin Frank and they snooze in my office while I work at home. He's such a blessing. Thank you for all your help DRA.

I was recently lucky enough to be selected to adopt Toby. We’d been trying to get a rescue Dachshund for a while as a companion to our smooth mini, Doug. We of course had concerns about behaviour and what environment the new addition may come from but we were committed to making it work in order to give a dog a new beginning. Toby and Doug’s 1st meeting went so well we decided to take Toby home for the 2 week trial period. I’d be lying if I said there weren’t a few jealous tiffs and some challenging behaviour to address but overall it has been fantastic. The two boys have bonded and by day 4 they were running around like lunatics and playing together. I’m so glad we made this decision. Andrea and the team at DRA have been nothing short of amazing! Showering little Toby with gifts, food and supplements along with footing the bill for a vet visit. (Which I wasn’t expecting) If you’re on the fence about giving this a go, don’t hesitate, you won’t regret it!

Coco, the standard dachshund, has joyfully settled into her new home. She now has a loving family and a dachshund sister to share her days with. The two of them are inseparable, spending their time lounging in the sun and enjoying each other's company. Coco has taken on the important role of garden guardian, making sure no birds dare to land by keeping a watchful eye on the surroundings. Her playful nature and vigilant spirit bring joy and laughter to her new family. Her days are filled with love, fun, and relaxation, showing how perfectly she fits into her new home. Coco’s story is a heartwarming reminder of the happiness and companionship that come from finding the right family. She is truly living her best life, surrounded by love and a devoted sister by her side.

Nina found a home from home, within minutes she had settled on the couch next to her new owner, feeling loved and enjoying being the focus of attention again. Nina has her own garden, sleeps in the bedroom and Someone to share her days, she is in her element x

Wanda and Houdini were a very reluctant rehoming. Their owner had a young family and the dogs weren't happy with little folk around. They both have lovely natures, like most long hairs. Very laid back. Fortunately Ania was hoping to welcome a pair of middle aged dachshunds, it was meant to be. Lots of TLC and settling in has put them at ease. DRA has helped with their vaccinations and dentals to get them in tip top shape for their new owner. It's lovely to see them so happy prancing around in their new garden. Life is good?!
